Convert an Instagram account to a Business or Creator account

This guide is for users who want to switch their personal Instagram account to a professional Business or Creator account. You can switch to a professional account using the Instagram app by following these steps.

  1. Open Instagram app.
  2. Tap your Instagram profile image in the bottom right corner.
  3. Press the menu button in the top right corner.
  4. Press Settings and privacy.
  5. Scroll down and press Account type and tools under For professionals.
  6. Press Switch to professional account.
  7. Press Continue.
  8. Select Category and press Done.
  9. Press OK to confirm.
