What is a Facebook Post ID?

A Facebook post ID is a unique ID which is assigned to a Facebook post. A Facebook post can be a status update, image, video, photo, event or ad.

The Facebook post ID is always hidden inside the URL of a post. It's not always easy to know which number in the link is the post ID.

We created this tool to make it easy to get the Facebook post ID from the URL. You just have to enter the link of your Facebook post. 1. Open the Facebook app.
2. Navigate to the Facebook post.
3. Tap Share and choose more options.
4. Tap Copy.

Find Facebook URL via a browser

1. Open Facebook in any (mobile) browser.
2. Navigate to the Facebook post.
3. Click on the time or date of the post below the name (see image 1).
4. Copy the link from the browser address bar (see image 2).

You can now paste the post URL in the tool to look up the Facebook Post ID.
